A unique multicultural and fashionably modern juvel in South East Asia

Singapore

Singapore

Singapore and Sentosa

Though physically small, Singapore is an economic giant. It has been Southeast Asia's most modern city for over a century. The city blends Malay, Chinese, Arab, Indian and English cultures and religions. Its unique ethnic tapestry affords visitors a wide array of sightseeing, culinary opportunities and great shopping!

The Republic of Singapore has an efficient and determined government, and has become a flourishing country that excels in shipping, trade and tourism. The country's excellent infrastructure enables visitors to enjoy its many sites and attractions in a safe, clean and green environment. The visitor will quickly discover a wealth of historical treasures from the past, in the beauty of older buildings, as well as values and traditions that have survived in the face of profound social and geographical change.

Forming the core of downtown Singapore is the Colonial District. Each surrounding enclave has its own distinct flavor, from the aromatic spice stores of Little India, to the tumbledown backstreets of Chinatown, or the Arab Quarter, whose cluttered stores sell fine cloths and silks.

The island nation lies one degree north of the Equator on the Malaysian peninsula, thus the tropical temperatures do not vary much. Rainfall is fairly evenly distributed through the year, although the rain season is mainly the two last months of the year. The climate provides excellent conditions for the country's many parks, nature reserves, and lush, tropical greenery.

South of Singapore is the amusement island of Sentosa. It's ranked as the city's prime leisure district with entertainment ranging from tranquil palm fringed beaches to thrilling rollercoaster rides. The exclusive Sentosa Golf Course holds world class standard, while the spectacular Resorts World is home to Universal Studios, Dolphin island, award winning spas, Michelin star restaurants and much more.
